If you don't know where you've been, how will you know where to go?

I began writing articles about NASA and the American Space Program after finding out that my daughter, then in the 8th grade, did not know who Neil Armstrong was. I did not realize until then that her Social Studies curriculum did not include the history of space flight in this country. Neither did the Science curriculum.

The teachers did not mention the US astronauts when talking about the men and women responsible for shaping our country's scientific and technological advances in space. I have had a few articles published in local newspapers and magazines. I wrote them as tributes to NASA and the US astronauts in the hope of educating people about the true American heroes who ventured into space. They paved the way for others to explore the unknown and to discover what's 'out there'.
